One of my favorite parts of our recent family vacation was our trip to Maya Key Private Resort. If you ever find yourself in Roatan this is a must see sight. I liked that this stop had something for everyone. It was hard to find excursions that we could all enjoy, since Madilyn has a limited range of activities in which she can participate. (more…)

My New Smile
Saturday, March 17th, 2012Tuesday when I went to the orthodontist I had no expectation of having my braces come off. At my last visit I was told that the bonded retainers would be installed and then we would plan on removal of the braces in the coming weeks. (more…)
How do you make it work?
Friday, March 16th, 2012I had to attend an out of town conference on Monday, it was horrible. I ended up going out to lunch with some other people who also work in my county. At some point the conversation turned to marriage and why so many people get divorced, and that long marriages are no longer the norm. (more…)

Sunday, March 11th, 2012 After missing out on an hour of sleep due to day light savings time going into effect I was still up early enough to make breakfast for my family before heading out to church. We took a Staycation…

I thought about taking a trip to Florida to see family, but decided that we needed to just stay home. It has been forever since we have had an extended period of time to just hang out at home. Everybody needs time to themselves. Time to relax, think, pray, refocus or just time to get away and be alone for a few minutes. Sometimes I feel like I have a difficult time carving out a few minutes to just focus on me. Work, family, household chores, and other obligations consume more of my time than I would like. The problem with never having a minute alone is that eventually I become a grouch and unpleasant to be around. (more…)
