Last night Life Bible Church hosted an Art Night. It was a fun time of looking at art, creating art, and seeing how God can work through art. David and I had a really good time looking at all of the art work. I did not realize that we had so many talented people at Life Bible Church. (more…)
Family
The Lloyd family consist of David, Donna, Caleb and Madilyn. We are just like any other family and are trying to make the most of our lives. The post found within this section are about our everyday life from my point of view and maybe an occasional musing from David.
Art Night
Saturday, March 26th, 2011Work-life
Sunday, March 20th, 2011I have had several people ask why I never blog about work. There are several reasons that a major part of my life is left out of my blog 99% of the time. I would love to blog about work and the trials, struggles and fun that I have as an employee of a high school in a small county. However, recently there have been several cases where teachers have been fired or are under investigation because of things posted on their blogs. In many of the cases I see nothing wrong with what the teacher wrote. (more…)
No Time!
Friday, March 18th, 2011I have not blogged in a while. I wish I had the time to tackle all of the things that I want to write about. It just seems like I never have TIME to do anything anymore. Some days I feel like I am barely keeping my head above water. I’m exhausted both physically and emotionally. My exhaustion stems from the time change, home responsibilities, work responsibilities, and graduate school. (more…)
Is Miscarriage Murder?
Saturday, March 5th, 2011Georgia Rep. Bobby Franklin wants all miscarriages to be investigated in order to rule out foul play. This is an outrage and the people of Georgia need to bombard his office letting him know that HB1 is outrageous. If this bill passes I believe that many women will decide not to seek medical care in the event of a miscarriage if they have not yet been seen by a medical doctor. (more…)
Friends
Friday, February 25th, 2011Friendship isn’t a big thing – it’s a million little things. ~Author Unknown
We had the pleasure of going to Tennessee this weekend to visit our dear friends Joey, Cheryl and their children. We have known Joey and Cheryl for about 20 years. We became friends while we were students at Lee. I don’t know what it was about them but we just clicked and became friends. We don’t get to see them often, but we enjoy the time that do have together. We were especially excited about this visit because we got to meet their new arrivals Samuel and Stephen. (more…)

Valentine’s Day
Monday, February 14th, 2011I don’t pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.– Author Unknown
Working vs. Stay at Home Moms
Saturday, February 5th, 2011I am so tired of the Stay-at-Home Mom (SAHMS) verses Working Mom (WMS) fight. The newest study indicates that children of working moms are over-weight. The study focused on the fact that Working Mom’s multi-task and sometimes don’t have time to cook nutritious meals and rely on fast food. This study is flawed for several reasons: (more…)
Family Update
Tuesday, January 25th, 2011Caleb finished his first semester of high school. Boy did that go by quickly. He got all A’s and B’s. I really like that I work at the school he attends. I get the chance to do what most parents want to do but never get a chance to do. I get to see him interact with his friends, see how he acts in the hallways, and I have daily conversations with several of his teachers. (more…)
