Two weeks ago I finished up the semester at KSU. By far this has been the hardest semester of school I have ever completed. For some reason I had a hard time staying focused and completing assignments. I was worried that I would not maintain a 4.0 GPA. Somehow I managed to make A’s in both of my classes. I am now only 6 credits away from completing my Specialist Degree. (more…)
Family
The Lloyd family consist of David, Donna, Caleb and Madilyn. We are just like any other family and are trying to make the most of our lives. The post found within this section are about our everyday life from my point of view and maybe an occasional musing from David.
Another Semester Down
Thursday, May 19th, 2011Still the one
Sunday, May 8th, 2011Twenty years ago today David and I got married. After all this time we not only still love each other but we still like each other. We have stood by our wedding vows and loved each other through richness, poorness, sickness, health, good times and bad. We have stuck together through it all and have built a wonderful life together. I can not imagine my life without David. (more…)
Happy day for some…
Saturday, May 7th, 2011Mother’s Day can be one of the most painful days of the years for those who desire children but can’t have them. After years of struggling with infertility and the pain associated with not having a child I can relate to those who are enduring this struggle. (more…)
Fog
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011We stayed up way too late the last night of our cruise, but it was fine because we already knew that we could sleep in due to the medical evacuation that moved our arrival time back by several hours. We were shocked that when we woke up our boat was once again moving at a very slow pace. (more…)
Anniversary Cruise- Day 5
Monday, April 18th, 2011Friday we decided to get up early and catch a sunrise. I can not think of many things much more beautiful than watching a sunrise out on the open sea. We headed up to the top deck of the ship and waited for a few minutes looking toward the east. While standing there we noticed that our ship was slowing down and a small boat was quickly approaching. (more…)
Anniversary Cruise Day 4
Sunday, April 17th, 2011Thursday we woke up in the port of Calica. This port is not within walking distance of anything so guest wanting to explore are required to rent a car, get a taxi, or leave the port on a shore excursion bus. David and I booked an excursion that included a short bus ride to a beautiful beach resort to go snorkeling. (more…)
Anniversary Cruise- Day 3
Friday, April 15th, 2011Day 3: We woke with a view of Cozumel. I could not believe how blue the water was in the port. So very different than the water we have shore side in the states. It looked so inviting I wanted to jump right into the water. Two years ago when we took a family cruise we did a wonderful shore excursion in Cozumel. We decided that we had done so much and seen so much of Cozumel that we would not plan a shore excursion, but spend most of our time on the ship. (more…)
Celebrating 20 Years (early)
Friday, April 15th, 2011David and I decided t0 celebrate our 20th Anniversary a few weeks early. During Spring Break last week we enjoyed a wonderful time together on Carnival’s Elation. I am thankful that my sister and parents were willing to watch the kids so that David and I could have this time together. (more…)
All A’s
Monday, March 28th, 2011I am super proud of Caleb. He got all A’s for this grading term. He has always been smart and we have always helped him along by pushing him to do his best. I was a little hesitant to let him take all honors courses. I am glad that we did not change his schedule because he is proving he can handle the harder classes. Next year he will attempt his first AP class by taking AP World History. (more…)
Zoo Trip
Sunday, March 27th, 2011Last weekend we had a beautiful weather. It was the absolute best weather of 2011 thus far. We decided that it was the perfect day to take Madilyn to the zoo for the first time. She and her classmates had learned about zoo animals all week so we thought it would be the perfect way to spend our Saturday. (more…)
