Its been a cold week here in Georgia. The only thing I like about the cold weather is having a warm fire in the fireplace. Sitting in front of the fireplace is just peaceful to me. I am thankful that today it is warmer and the sun is shining. Seems like its been forever since we have had a sunny day.
Last Saturday, Caleb left to go back to Georgia State University. We had a nice long four week visit with him. I pray that he does as well with this second semester as he did with his first semester. Madilyn already misses him. At least he lives close enough to come visit.
Madilyn is getting back into the routine of being an only child, going to school and doing homework. I did not make her do any homework last week and I am now second guessing that decision. This week it has been tough to get her back into the routine. She is very excited about a 6 week cheer leading class that she has started. She has been wanting to do cheerleading for about two years now. Her school is hosting a 6 week mini-class, so we decided to let her take it.
David and I are both still working hard. It seems like not much changes for us in our week to week life. I guess that is what happens when you become responsible adults with a job, a house, and kids. For me work is good. I have a few more students this semester than I had last semester but its not a big deal. Sometimes I get bored with my job and don’t feel challenged but it is a good job to have.
We finally think we have our tax issues resolved. The IRS actually admitted to taking the $5000 when they should not have. Now we just need to get them to actually send us the money back. They also now have a record of our submitting last years taxes, so no penalties there. I just want this whole tax thing to be in the past and to not keep popping up. It has been going on for a few years now and I pray this is the end of it.
