Lloyd Weekly

What a long and exhausting week we have had. I am looking forward to a restful weekend of doing NOTHING. We have no plans and are hoping to have a few days of just relaxing and recovering from sinus and stomach issues.

Our Week in Review

  • Last Saturday we enjoyed a lovely day riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. We had a great time as a family and enjoyed the fall colors.
  • Our church had their Annual Family Fall Festival, and we had a lot of fun playing games, eating good food, and visiting with our friends from church. Madilyn really enjoyed the hay ride. I think she rode five times and she wanted to ride some more.
  • Caleb has had a busy week of play practice. His performances are next week. If you live nearby you might enjoy a night of two one act plays at Creekview High School. Tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $5 for students and can be reserved online  at www.SeatYourself.biz/CreekviewTheatre. I am sure Caleb would love to see some of you there.
  • The Professional Standards Commission approved my application to upgrade may teaching certificate from a level 5 to a level 6. Now I will finally start to see the financial rewards of all of my hard work and time spent in graduate school.
  • I was disappointed that a major testing event that I had planned and been coordinating for two months happened on Thursday and I had to call in sick. I did not get to see if my plan was fully effective. The good news is that everything went great without me being there so I guess I did a good job with the plan, since others where able to execute the plan.
  • Two more pounds lost for a total of 54— still moving downward which is great.
  • David and I both have been miserable the past few days. David has been having sinus issues and I have been having stomach issues. I am thankful that both Madilyn and Caleb are not feeling ill.
