Today, I am thankful for David, my wonderful husband and the marriage that we have built together. We have been married 20 and 1/2 years. I know we do not look old enough to have been married that long. But it is true we have been together for just over 2 decades~ man that makes me sound old. Guess what, I would do it all again.
When we married we were young and in the minds of many others we were dumb. Many people thought our marriage and future together was doomed. We had only known each other 9 months when we married. Half of our relationship had been a long distance one, in the time before cell phones, email, and facebook. So our relationship developed through hand written letters (which I still have and treasure). Most people thought that we moved to fast, did not know each other well enough, and had made the biggest mistake of our lives. All I can say is that we loved each other then, and I love him more and more as each day passes.
David never ceases to amaze me as a husband and a father. I can not imagine my life without him. I wish that all women could feel as loved and cared for as David makes me feel.
