Day 6~My Home

It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home.  ~Author Unknown

Today I am thankful for my home. When I say home I don’t mean the windows, doors, floors, and everything else that makes up the house. When I say home,  I mean the people and emotions that fill the house.
I am thankful that my family and I all come together in order to make an ordinary house into a home. Together we provide each other with nurturing love and support. Home is where we go for comfort. Home is were we go for peace. Home is where we retreat when we need a break from the world. Home is where we live and love together.
I do feel truly blessed to have a beautiful house with many amenities. However, without my family and our shared life together this house would be an empty hallow shell that would offer no oasis from the rest of the world.  I feel so blessed to not only have a house but to have a home.
