I was surfing the web today and found an interesting site that is aimed at helping people to focus on the simple things in life that are often over looked. I thought it was an interesting concept and decided that I will participate by publishing post once in a while that just deal with the simple things.
You might be interested in looking at the site writing prompt by visiting The Simple Woman’s Day Book. Many people have posted on the site and I have found several new favorite blogs.
For Today- Nov 30, 2011
Outside my window… it is a dreary, dark, cold day. The fall leaves are fading and falling and the trees are quickly becoming naked for winter.
I am thinking… Christmas Break can’t come fast enough. Its too cold to go anywhere, and I just want to be in my pj’s reading a book by the fireplace.
I am wondering…if I will ever feel normal again.
I am thankful for… my family and how wonderful they are even when I am an emotional, unreasonable wreck.
From the kitchen… I found a new recipe for Pumpkin Dump Cake, we love Dump Cake so I can’t wait to try this new version.
I am wearing… my typical work clothing (dark slacks, a sweater, flat dress shoes). I can not wait until Friday for jeans and sweatshirt day.
I am reading…Cascade by Lisa T. Bergren, book 2 in the River of Time series.
I am hearing…my little girl calling mommy. Of course lately that is about all I hear. She is non-stop with talking and calling for me.
Around the house… We are starting to slow down for the night. I am working on blog post, delaying putting up the Christmas tree, and planning tomorrow in my head. Madilyn is watching Veggie Tales, Caleb is doing homework and David is ordering Christmas gifts on line. Its a quiet night in our home.
Pondering /Remembering these words…“Nothing taste as good as thin feels” Lysa Terkeurst
A few plans for the rest of the week… I plan on finishing up the Christmas decorating, and “really” starting the Christmas shopping.
