I am beginning to wonder if Spring has really arrived or if she is just teasing us. The past few days we have had some windy cooler weather that I did not appreciate. I have been looking forward to taking the family out on the boat, but the cooler temperatures and wind have dashed that desire.

Caleb hit two big milestones this past month. He got his class ring and his first car. We found him an older Lexus RX300 and were able to get a pretty decent deal on the purchase. He has also begun wrapping up his sophomore year. This year he will take his first AP test. Study sessions have begun and he is keeping himself busy preparing for this exam and his End of Course Exams.

Madilyn is learning so much with each passing day. She can identify almost all of the letters of the alphabet now. She has started to learn to write the letters, but still needs a lot of practice with that. She can write her name and it is legible so I will take that. Now if we can just get her to say “L” instead of “well”. When she spells her name she says, “M A D I well Y N.” It is super cute but it is a pronunciation we are trying to break.

I have been super busy at work. I have been working on documentation that our school has met the requirements for the recently passed Bridge Bill. This task has been overwhelming to say the least. I am so glad that the end is in site and I will soon mark this task off my list as completed and submitted. I am also considering a job change. I can’t go into much detail right now, but I have been asked to interview for a job with another county and I am going to do it and see what happens. Its both exciting and scary all at the same time.

David is still working hard. This past month he has had two clients contact him for some small jobs. So in addition to his normal contract work he has had a few side jobs. He’s having fun teaching Caleb how to drive. OK, I don’t think he’s having fun, but he is doing his duty as a dad.

We have also started bowling again. We used to bowl all the time when we were in college. Right now we are pretty BAD, but with practice we will get back to where we used to be. At least we are having fun together and that’s all that really matters.
