To poke a wood fire is more solid enjoyment than almost anything else in the world. ~Charles Dudley Warner
Today I am thankful for fires in the fireplace. These fires mean that my house is nice and warm. When I was in grad school I loved coming home on winter nights to a wonderfully warm fire in the fireplace. The light of the fire, and the smell of the fire always said, “welcome home Donna.”
I am especially thankful that we were gifted with a big truck load of free firewood just in time for the cold snap we are having. We love to have fires all winter long, and the fire wood we received will be put to good use and will save us money.
What are you thankful for today?
