Thankfulness Day 15- Date Night

datenightCouples can do a lot to improve their marriages by going out alone to do something special, just the two of them, with no children tagging along” ~ Gary Panetta.

Today I am thankful for date nights. David and I don’t get to have a date night as often as we would like but we do enjoy being able to get out once in a while without the kids tagging along. We love our kids, but we also love each other and need time to be together without kids.

Date Night does not have to be an extravagant expensive event. All you need is some time alone with your spouse. Date night could be as simple as a walk in the park and a picnic dinner.

Last night we did get to enjoy a night with just the two of us. We went to Sharp Shooters and spent some time shooting.  It was my first time to ever shoot a gun. I tried three different guns and was able to hit what I was aiming at some of the time.  We then found a sushi place to have dinner. It was very good. While we were eating I noticed most of the other customers were Japanese so it must be the place to go for good sushi.

I enjoy my date nights with David and love that he still wants to date me after 23 years of marriage.

What are you thankful for today?
