Lloyd Weekly

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week visiting family in Florida. The week passed by quickly and it seemed like we were packing our bags to head home way to soon.

The only downside to this trip was that David did not have the entire week off so he had to work. He was able to start work early in the day so that he could finish up early in the afternoons. So he did not miss out on all of the fun. He did have an awesome work space. He spent most of his working time on the balcony with a view of the Indian River.

Our Week in Review

  • We decided to save a little money and go with a two bedroom unit at the condo resort. We received a pleasant surprise when we got a phone call from the resort owner letting us know we were being upgraded to a three bedroom suite. This was a very nice and appreciated upgrade. Sometimes it pays to be frugal.
  • The Sebastian Riverfront Resort was great. It was nice with a lot of room and a well equipped kitchen.
  • Caleb thought the resort was creepy because we were the only guest most of the week. I don’t understand why more people don’t stay there. We enjoyed it and the price was not too much more than other places in the same area.
  • David and I got to go out on a double date with his brother Jeremy and his wife Jan. It was nice to be able to talk without all the noise of the kids (0urs and theirs).
  • We spent a lot of time visiting family and had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
  • Madilyn enjoyed walking on the boardwalk at the river and playing at the local parks.
  • The weather was PERFECT all week with temperatures in the high 70’s to low 80’s.
  • I don’t think I lost any weight this week, but I also don’t think I gained. Everyone (Gran, Diane, Jan, and Aunt Kathy) all made sure that there were meals options available for me so that I could stay on track. It was nice that everyone was willing to help by preparing meals that I could enjoy and not blow my eating plan for the week.
  • I took a ton of pictures and they can be viewed on our flickr site. I got so many good shots of Madilyn, she is a camera ham.
  • We decided to break our trip home up into two days. That allowed us to visit one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. We love The Crab Shack that is located on Tybee Island. We always order the same thing when we go, the Low Country Boil. Once again it did not disappoint.
  • The graphic on today’s blog was designed by Greg Sykes. I asked him to do a graphic to represent me and my life. I think he captured a great deal in this one graphic. I love the chalk board theme, the L and the family on the roller coaster. This graphic will be used on all of my family update post.
