We woke up Monday to a yard full of beautiful white snow and no school. News reports state that our area received 6 to 7 inches of snow. Our measurements are more along the lines of 3 to 4 inches. The last time we had snow fall like this was in 1993. (more…)

Snow Days
Wednesday, January 12th, 2011Savings this week
Tuesday, January 11th, 2011
This week my total prior to coupons and BOGO was $123.22. I paid $75.33 for a total savings of $47.89. My savings were a little off this week because we had impending bad weather in the forecast and I needed to make sure we had plenty of milk, eggs, bread and of course snack foods to last us several days should we become snowed-in. Faith like Peter’s
Monday, January 10th, 2011
One of the hardest things for me to do is to have faith and not to worry about things. It is so hard to sit back and let things happen and to not worry. When we allow worry and fret to come into our lives we become like Peter who had enough faith to get out of the boat and walk on the water, but ended sinking because he became fearful of the wind and lost his faith. I don’t want to be like Peter. (more…)

As of December 9, 2010 I have completed 21 credit hours of work toward an Ed.S in Leadership and Technology Implementation. I only need to complete 12 more hours to receive this degree. Despite dealing with loss, months of illness, and missing classes due to surgery I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. (more…)

Essentially Paul instructs us to pray, share, and be knowledgeable about the gospel if we are to reach others.

I have been using coupons and saving money on my family food bill and personal hygiene products for the past two and a half years. I know that I have saved by using coupons but I am not sure of the true value of my efforts since I have never tracked my savings. (more…)
Things I learned in 2010

My husband did a wonderful blog post yesterday concerning the lessons he learned during the past year. As I was reading his post I kept thinking, “wow I learned the same lessons.” (more…)
Hello 2011
Saturday, January 1st, 2011
Happy 2011 everyone. It seems like just yesterday we were all wishing each other a Happy 2010.
I am not afraid to say that I am glad 2010 is gone. The last two years have been hard on my family. The end of 2009 held for us much loss and confusion. The first 7 months of 2010 was full of pain and illness. So needless to say I am more than happy to say farewell to 2010.
2011 promises to be a good year. (more…)
Christmas 2010
Wednesday, December 29th, 2010
Christmas 2010 was spent in Sebastian FL. We had a fun time visiting with family.
On Christmas Eve we decided at the last minute to attend a Christmas Nativity program at one of the local churches. For a small church they had many talented singers. Later that night we let the kids open 1 present, which is our family tradition. (more…)
