This week my total prior to coupons and BOGO was $123.22. I paid $75.33 for a total savings of $47.89. My savings were a little off this week because we had impending bad weather in the forecast and I needed to make sure we had plenty of milk, eggs, bread and of course snack foods to last us several days should we become snowed-in.
I also stocked up on boneless, skinless chicken breast because they were on sale. Currently I have ten meals of chicken marinating in the deep freezer. For those of you who have not marinated chicken in the freezer it is pretty easy and saves the meat from becoming frost bitten. All you have to do is place the desired amount of chicken in a zip lock bag, and then pour enough of your favorite marinade into the bag to cover the chicken and the freeze. You can store chicken frozen in this manner for several months.
