The past can not be changed and it must be accepted and life must continue. There is no need to sit around playing “what if games” because these games will only result in sadness and tears. While being content with our circumstances is hard and may seem unbearable we must learn to trust God completely in order to reclaim peace in our lives. Contentment does not come naturally it seems almost against our human nature to be content.
Verse: I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am in (Philippians 4:11).
I am still working on being 100% content with my life. Most days I can say that I am fully content no matter the circumstance. However, occasionally the events of this past November and my continued illness creep into mind and cause me discontentment. I continue to strive each day to have contentment through all of my circumstances. When I feel discontentment entering my mind I focus on the verse above and remember that the things of this life are only temporary.
