If you really want to be depressed, weigh yourself in grams. ~Jason Love
For me being fit and healthy is not all about the numbers. However the numbers do play a role in helping me to say on track.
Weighing daily has been key in helping me to stay focused on my health and fitness goals. I have weighed myself each and everyday since January 1. I began tracking my weight in May. By weighing every morning I start my day knowing if I need to be extra careful because of deviations during the previous days. I don’t stress if the numbers go up a little bit over the course of a few days. I don’t get overly excited if the number drops by a pound or more over night. I do look at the numbers closely in order to determine changes that I need to make if there is no permanent movement over the course of a week. I also always keep in mind that fluctuations happen and are normal.
