“Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.” Elizabeth Lawrence
This past Saturday we went on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. At the start of our journey the fall air was crisp and cool, but not cold. By the end of our train ride the air was warmer but not too warm. Perfect weather mixed with perfect fall colors made for a perfect day.
I was in awe of the bright, bold fall colors. Many of the trees looked like they were on fire with color. While other trees looked like they were trying with all of their might to hold onto their summer dress for a few more days. Reds, oranges, browns, and greens all blended together creating the perfect canvas. The Toccoa River was beautiful to view while framed in the colors of fall.
We had fun as a family seeing historical sites, discussing rustic verses rusty, and just being together as a family taking time to relax and experience the beauty of nature. This is on our family list of “must do again.” Have I mentioned that I love FALL?
