I don’t normally promote self-help or advice books, but I just can not resist recommending the book Made to Crave by Lisa Terkeurst. I have read and reread this book many times. If I had this book in print copy I know that the pages would be dog eared and full of high lights and notes. Made to Crave is one of the few books I have actually paid to download to my iPad.
While the book is full of stuff I already knew the author puts many things in a clearer perspective for me as it pertains to the Christian woman and weight loss. As I read the book I found myself writing down quote after quote. I now repeat and remind myself of these quotes when I am struggling with food, weight, and diet issues.
This book also made me focus on my spiritual life and how it relates to my view of God, food, and cravings. I love that each chapter ends with several thought provoking reflection questions. I also like that all of the Bible verses used within the text are laid at the end of the book for easy and quick reference.
