I can not believe it is mid-August. Time is just passing by so quickly. Summer went by in what seemed like a blink and now the current school year is well under way. We had a busy week at the Lloyd House.
Madilyn is really enjoying first grade. She likes not being the youngest in the building and is proud to not be one of “those kindergartners.” She lost her first tooth at school early in the week. She was so excited to FINALLY have lost a tooth. She looks really cute with her little gap.
Caleb is packing and getting ready to leave for college next week. He was notified this week that he got a job that he interviewed for last week. He will be working on the Georgia State University Campus in the library in the CURVE (Collaborative University Research & Visualization Environment). It seems like a really cool place to work and I think he is going to learn a lot during his time there. He will be working with a lot of new and cutting edge technology.
David has been working on a project for a Charter Education Program at one of the local schools. Our church is sponsoring the project. They have run into a few roadblocks but hope to have those resolved in a few days so that the project can launch. He has a few other irons in the fire along with his full time job so he is keeping himself very busy.
As for me I am doing pretty good. I have things under control at work and hope to get started on the fun part of my job next week. I am making it to the gym 4 to 5 times a week. I hope to be able to keep up the pace as the weeks go on. I went to a painting party this week and had fun learning some painting techniques and creating a new wall hanging for the kitchen nook. It was really fun to do something new and spend time out of the house with several other ladies.
Over all the Lloyd family has had a fantastic week.
