Today I am thankful for my home. I love the place that David and I call home. I don’t love it because it is big or because we have a great view. I love it because of all of the memories we have made while living here.
In this house we became a family of four. In this house we watched our son grow from a young boy to a young man. Within the walls of this house we watched our daughter take her first steps. Here we have laughed, cried, mourned, and loved. Our home is our sanctuary from a sometimes cruel and hard world. Our home is where our kids know that they will always be loved and wanted no matter what.
I know that many people do not have a place to call home. I remind my children of this fact on a regular basis. I am thankful that my family has been blessed with not just a house, but with a wonderful place in which we can call home.
