I do not know why I do this to myself. I form good habits by going to the gym three to four days a week and then I stop going. At first I did not go because I was sick. Then when I felt better I just did not want to go out in the cold. It is so easy to make excuses after missing a day or two of working out.
I skip one day at the gym and one becomes two and two becomes three and the cycle continues. Until yesterday I had not seen the inside of the gym for three weeks. The same thing happened with my pedometer. One day I forgot it and the next I just did not bother. I picked it up yesterday determined to reach my step goal for the day, only to find that the battery was dead. Of course, I did not have a replacement battery on hand, so I will have to remember to buy one next time I go to the store.
It is hard getting back on schedule, but I feel so much better when I exercise on a regular basis. I have more energy and less knee pain when I work out on a consistent basis. This month it will be hard but I will get back where I need to be on the exercise front.
I have been bad, but today is a new day.
