“People with fitness goals succeed because they know where they’re going.” ~ Felicity Luckey
With recent medical issues coming to light I now have to be more diligent than ever in being focused on my health and fitness. I know the issue I am having is not major, but I don’t want it to progress from minor to major.
One of the best ways for me to focus on my goals is to write about them and track them. I am sure that as the months pass some of the goals will remain the same, others will evolve, and more will be added.
I have set three fitness goals for September:
- Workout a minimum of 3 times a week at the gym. I chose 3 times a week, because that is what the gym considers to be perfect attendance. They also encourage members to walk or do some other type of physical activity on non-gym days.
- Complete knee home therapy every day. I gotta get this knee in tip top shape. I need to do eveything I can do to keep it from deterioritationg and becoming worse. Sometimes it is really easy to skip the home therapy due to a number of factors. However, skipping the PT exercises will not help my knee and will only hurt me more in the long run.
- Walk at least 2 day per week. On the days I do not go to the gym I plan to walk.
These are simple and obtainable goals. My number one priority right now is to do whatever it takes to prevent my knee from getting worse.
