Verse to live by in 2013

Happy New Year!  I hope that 2013 turns out to be more than any of us could ever imagine it to be. I pray that my family and friends will experience good health and much love during this new year. May we all be mindful of our many blessings and may we be willing to share what we have with others.

For the past few months Matthew 25:35-40 has been weighing on my heart. There are so many people in need and so few who will do anything to help the needy. During the holiday season the needs of others are brought to light through many venues. However, we must remember that their are people in need year round not just in November and December. I plan to live my life in 2013 by helping others in any way that I can. I hope that my family and friends will do the same.

Matthew 25:35-40

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
