David and I have been married forever. Okay, it has not been forever but it has been a long time, especially in current society where marriage is temporary for so many couples. We are sneaking up on 21 years of wedded bliss. Sometimes I can not believe that so much time has passed since we stood before a judge and said our vows. We married young after only knowing each other for nine months. Many people are surprised that we have somehow managed to not only stay married but happily married. (more…)

Lloyd Weekly Update
Saturday, January 14th, 2012
Not much is happening with the Lloyd Family this week. It was kind of nice to sit back and just roll along without to much going on. Really the only update for the week is that we finally decided what we are going to do for our Spring Break during the 1st week of April. (more…)
Being Content…..
Friday, January 13th, 2012
I am trying to make 2012 the year of contentment. I am not chasing after anything in this material world. For the past several years I have been chasing after degrees, babies, promotions, and other earthly things that I think I want, but never really finding the satisfaction I am craving. It’s Official I’m Dating
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012
About a month ago I made the statement, “I am so glad I am not in the dating stage of life anymore.” This statement was made because a few friends were talking about how hard the dating scene is and that it seems like Mr. Right will never come along. 5 Questions about Weight Loss
Thursday, January 5th, 2012
This journey will require you to make tough sacrifices, but look at it as embracing healthy choices rather than denying self.~ Lysa Terkeurst
Last year I got serious about my health. Part of getting serious meant changing the way I think about food and changing my eating habits. I left 65 pounds back in 2011 and they can stay there forever. My plan for 2012 includes continuing on the path to a more healthy lifestyle for myself and my family. (more…)
Family Dinner Planning~Working Moms
Wednesday, January 4th, 2012
Shortly after Caleb was born I realized that being a working mom is hard. It is difficult to stay organized, raise children, and work all at the same time. Being a mom and full time employee takes PLANNING. One of the most difficult parts of our life to plan is dinner. With two adults, an active teen, and toddler in the home it is often hard to plan meals that fit our busy schedule. (more…)
Just for Today
Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012
Today I am linking up with the ladies at The Simple Woman’s Daybook. This day book entry allows for the writer to take time to reflect on life right now in this moment in time. It is relaxing and uplifting to just sit and think about the simple things and times in our lives.
