I grew up in a religious home, went to a religious college and am now trying to live my life not as a religious person but as a Christ Follower. I like many others struggle with faith and have doubts. I know God has a plan for me, sometimes I just wish he would show it me.

I try hard to read my Bible everyday. Some days it is harder than other days. During the week I set my alarm for about 30 minutes earlier than I need to get up so that I can spend some time reading and praying before I start my day. (more…)

Giving to Others

givingFor I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’” Matthew 25:35-36

I love this passage. It is a constant reminder that we are not put on this earth to consume and be selfish but to give to others whenever we can.  I just have had such a burden to help those who are in need. (more…)

Peace

I have noticed that the Christmas season can be very busy and anything but peaceful. I want my home to be a place of “peace”  especially during the Christmas Season. I want my family to slow down and focus and be peaceful during this busy time of the year. (more…)

Our Opening Ceremony…..

Thankfulness Day 26- God’s Word
