I have taken on the task of reading the Bible in a year. I am following a plan and have read a whopping 3% of the Bible. Of course I still have time, the year is just beginning. (more…)

I try hard to read my Bible everyday. Some days it is harder than other days. During the week I set my alarm for about 30 minutes earlier than I need to get up so that I can spend some time reading and praying before I start my day. (more…)

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, ³⁶ I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’” Matthew 25:35-36

I love this passage. It is a constant reminder that we are not put on this earth to consume and be selfish but to give to others whenever we can.  I just have had such a burden to help those who are in need. (more…)

Elf on a Shelf is one tradition that I am glad that we did not start in our family. I am all for Christmas fun but this tradition is one in which my family will not participate. (more…)

I have noticed that the Christmas season can be very busy and anything but peaceful. I want my home to be a place of “peace”  especially during the Christmas Season. I want my family to slow down and focus and be peaceful during this busy time of the year. (more…)

Today I am thankful for salvation. I am thankful that I have hope even when the world is full of hopelessness. I am thankful that in the storms of life I can feel his presence. (more…)
