Religion
I grew up in a religious home, went to a religious college and am now trying to live my life not as a religious person but as a Christ Follower. I like many others struggle with faith and have doubts. I know God has a plan for me, sometimes I just wish he would show it me.

Today I am thankful for the beauty we see each and everyday. I love to see the sun rise and set. The beautiful colors that paint the sky bring a smile to my face each and every time I see them. To me nothing beats being able to watch a sunrise or sunset over the ocean. (more…)

Today I am thankful for Oak Leaf Church. Last year at this time we once again found ourselves looking for a new place of worship. I have always disliked the process of finding a new church. After a few weeks visiting Oak Leaf we knew we had found our new home. We settled in very quickly and have come to love the people in this church. It seems like we have been attending here for much longer than just a year.

Lately I have been struggling with having meaningful quiet time. I try to squeeze it in, but often times feel like a failure because I am rushed or distracted. I have tried getting up earlier, but I already get up at 5:30 and earlier just seems impossible. (more…)
