In September I posted three goals for fitness that I wanted to meet. I have to admit that I failed miserably at meeting the goals I set for myself. During the 1st half of the month I was really moving along at a good pace. I was doing everything I needed to do to be on target with not only meeting but exceeding the goals I had set for myself.
Then we went on vacation and I just did not keep up my hard work. I need to learn to balance my life even when I am away from home. Vacation should not include a vacation from taking care of you and making healthy choices.
Goal by Goal Synopsis
- Workout a minimum of 3 times a week at the gym. I failed at this by only logging 10 workouts during the month. I went out of town for a week, and then suffered from a sinus headache for days on end. Had I attended the gym 3 more times during the month I would have meet the goal.
- Complete knee home therapy every day. I did well up until going on vacation. I left my therapy sheet at home and could not remember all of the exercises. I plan on correcting this issue scanning the document and saving it electronically so that I can access the information from anywhere at any time.
- Walk at least 2 day per week. It’s ironic that while on vacation I did the walking but while at home I did not. I really need to do better at making walking a priority in my life.
Since I did not meet my goals this month I will be working on the same goals for the month of October.
