Day 3: We woke with a view of Cozumel. I could not believe how blue the water was in the port. So very different than the water we have shore side in the states. It looked so inviting I wanted to jump right into the water. Two years ago when we took a family cruise we did a wonderful shore excursion in Cozumel. We decided that we had done so much and seen so much of Cozumel that we would not plan a shore excursion, but spend most of our time on the ship. (more…)

David and I decided t0 celebrate our 20th Anniversary a few weeks early. During Spring Break last week we enjoyed a wonderful time together on Carnival’s Elation. I am thankful that my sister and parents were willing to watch the kids so that David and I could have this time together. (more…)

All A’s

I am super proud of Caleb. He got all A’s for this grading term. He has always been smart and we have always helped him along by pushing him to do his best. I was a little hesitant to let him take all honors courses. I am glad that we did not change his schedule because he is proving he can handle the harder classes. Next year he will attempt his first AP class by taking AP World History. (more…)
Zoo Trip

Last weekend we had a beautiful weather. It was the absolute best weather of 2011 thus far. We decided that it was the perfect day to take Madilyn to the zoo for the first time. She and her classmates had learned about zoo animals all week so we thought it would be the perfect way to spend our Saturday. (more…)

Still Saving

Work-life

I have had several people ask why I never blog about work. There are several reasons that a major part of my life is left out of my blog 99% of the time. I would love to blog about work and the trials, struggles and fun that I have as an employee of a high school in a small county. However, recently there have been several cases where teachers have been fired or are under investigation because of things posted on their blogs. In many of the cases I see nothing wrong with what the teacher wrote. (more…)
No Time!

I have not blogged in a while. I wish I had the time to tackle all of the things that I want to write about. It just seems like I never have TIME to do anything anymore. Some days I feel like I am barely keeping my head above water. I’m exhausted both physically and emotionally. Life Road Map

Sometimes I just wish that I could see the road map that God has laid out for my life. The bumps in the road and the unexpected things that come along that change the course and direction of my life are sometimes unnerving. It seems like every time I think I am headed in the right direction something happens to slow me down or change my course.
