One of the most delightful things about a garden is the anticipation it provides ~ W.E. Johns
The summer gardening season has almost come to a close. This year I would have to describe my garden as “somewhat successful.” My efforts this season were much more successful than previous seasons, but still lacking. I look forward to an even more productive gardening season next year.
We had some plants that grew and produced all season long while other struggled. I still have peppers growing like crazy. I am not sure what we are going to do with all of the peppers, but I am sure we will think of something. Our last tomatoes are almost ripe. I will miss having fresh garden tomatoes in the coming months.
The garden boxes that David and Caleb built did a great job and almost eliminated the need to weed the garden. I think we only had around 10 weeds that needed to be pulled. I loved how the raised garden beds made the garden almost maintenance free. Not having to weed all of the time did help to make gardening a more enjoyable experience.
I look forward to learning ways to make my garden space even better this coming spring.
