Sometimes all it takes is a simple verse to put things into perspective. Yesterday as I was reading my Bible I read the following verse:

Tuesday when I went to the orthodontist I had no expectation of having my braces come off. At my last visit I was told that the bonded retainers would be installed and then we would plan on removal of the braces in the coming weeks. (more…)

I had to attend an out of town conference on Monday, it was horrible. I ended up going out to lunch with some other people who also work in my county. At some point the conversation turned to marriage and why so many people get divorced, and that long marriages are no longer the norm. (more…)

After missing out on an hour of sleep due to day light savings time going into effect I was still up early enough to make breakfast for my family before heading out to church. That almost NEVER happens. We had a nice peaceful Sunday morning and even got ready for church in record time. (more…)

We took a Staycation…

The kids and I enjoyed our winter break by staying home. Unfortunately David had to work so he did not get a lot of time off this week. I thought about taking a trip to Florida to see family, but decided that we needed to just stay home. It has been forever since we have had an extended period of time to just hang out at home. (more…)
