Cooking with Apples

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

I had a bag of apples from Mercier Orchard that needed to be used so I decided to incorporate them in my cooking one night last week. For $10 all three of us ate until we were stuffed and even had tickets left over. (more…)

This total is a lot more than I normally pay, but I had a cooking marathon this weekend. Many items I purchased this week were not on sale and were purchased without the use of coupons. With the groceries purchased we made 18 casseroles, 2 loafs of bread, and restocked many items for the pantry and freezer. (more…)
